Super Simple Spaghetti recipe
Sometimes life can get ahead of us and leave us with too little time. As a matter of fact, this seems to happen to people a lot these days. Therefore, it's nice to know that you have a great recipe that you can make when you don't have a lot of time to stand over the stove. This recipe is not only very simple for you to prepare, but it also tastes great. This is sure to become a very fast favorite in your home, even with the picky eaters.
Ingredients List:
1/4 cup of oil
1 onion, minced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1 can of tomatoes, puree
1 can of tomato paste
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
One package of spaghetti
Directions:
The first thing that you want to do in order to make this great tasting spaghetti is to take out a large skillet and heat the oil over a medium heat. Now you are going to add in the onion and the garlic. You want to cook it until the onion softens, this should only take about 5 to 8 minutes. Now you are going to add the crushed tomatoes and the tomato puree'. Now you will need to reduce the heat to low and cook it partially covered for about an hour. The next step is for you to stir in the tomato paste, basil, oregano and 1 cup of water. Now you are going to cook it, partially covered until it is nice and thickened, this will take about one hour. You will want to taste it and see if you need to add a little bit of salt and pepper to it.
Once you have the sauce cooking in the last stage, you will want to cook some spaghetti noodles according to the directions printed on the package. When the spaghetti is nice and tender, you will want to drain them and rinse them under some water. Now you can put the spaghetti on a plate and spoon some of this tasty sauce onto it. This dish tastes great with garlic bread.
The next time that you have invited guests over to enjoy a dinner at your house, you will want to be sure that you serve them some of this great tasting spaghetti. It has a flavor that will please all of your guests, even the ones that tend to be hard to please.
